It's been a long time since I posted anything on here. I apologize to the 22,000 people who have visited this page since my last blog post. Not sure how I can go about reaching out to them all to apologize personally, but I am guessing that my readers in Guam and Chile will eventually get over the trauma of it all and go back to tending their alpaca herds and such.
On average, I get about two queries a week online and in person regarding when my next book is coming out and what I have been working on lately. And, if my math is correct, I should anticipate a best seller next go around if each query results in a book sale.
I do have a manuscript I have been working on for the last few years. And by "working" I of course mean allowing it to age like a fine wine in my desk drawer. It's a different kind of book, and currently, it remains about 20,000 words too long. My editor has had her way with it already, but I am having trouble removing my editorial sword from its sheath and hacking away at my baby.
That, and time, she gets away from you. It happens. Life happens. Writing doesn't happen. You have to make it so. I am hoping that perhaps this post might help to inspire me back to action and complete the current draft round of the thing. So, if you happen to check in from Guam or anywhere else, pop me an email and remind me to get off my ass and finish it. Also... buy a copy on Amazon of Silence of Centerville. I promise to give any profit from it these days to some charitable good. Mostly, I just need some sign that I ought to be working.
Thanks for reading!
